Geraint recognises that nobody understands a business better than those working in it. He believes his job when visiting a business is to understand what drives it forward, ask good questions to promote thinking, consider different options and to suggest ways forward for the business.
His experience tells him that the team behind a business needs to be on-board if advice is to be translated to action.
Understanding which new technologies can add value to a business can be a challenge. Geraint’s role is supporting the uptake of new technology that will either make life easier, reduce costs, improve quality, achieve higher welfare standards, or make the business a safer working environment.
He will work with businesses to look at ways of reducing or even removing barriers for adopting better innovations.
An excellent communicator, in both Cymraeg and English, Geraint appreciates the need to avoid over complicating technology and to focus on what value it can offer, instead of how it works.
Geraint has been fortunate to travel and visit farming, horticulture and forestry businesses in over 15 countries, observing and learning about the value of new innovations.
